September 26 Georgetown fight song! The Georgetown Fight Song July 22 advice for ppl leaving...As Each day comes to a close , my heart sinks an inch deeper... one less day with family, with friends... one more day closer to leaving!!!
With all the anxiety and the plethora of emotions and completely confused state I am in now, I cannot blame myself...It could happen to anyone...anyone who watches tv all day and sleeps more than he keeps his eyes open! well yes im transforming into a couch potato!well it isnt all tht bad, considering im living upto the true essence of holidays!
To all those leaving ill give u some things to remember.. I may sound like Mrs Abu Esber on the grad on and on from a book of quotes, im sure she didnt really know wat she was saying
Its only funny until someone gets hurt...coz then it becomes hillarious!!!
Life is good...try to get one!
If you dont agree with me... then you are just wrong!
If Somebody annoys you just point and laugh!
and yes... since some of u will be meeting a lot of ppl for the first time here are some punch lines which will definitely get them to love u ...INSTANTLY!!! try them:-
Im not shy... I just dont like u!
or if u dont want to be rude to someone say- Ur not ugly...ur just facially challenged!
Everybody is entitled to be stupid but u are abusing the privelege!(reminds me of choueifat!)
smoking can really kill a person... maybe you should try it someday!
If you dont have anything nice to say...come sit with us!
Shok me! say something intelligent!
ok i think its enuf to make a good start at uni... i can help u make friends, cant do everything for u!!GOOD LUCK!
July 08 my favorite...Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, We'll wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! July 06 THE SILENT NARRATOR- my own poetryTHE SILENT NARRATOR
Like a sailor on a stormy night, Frantic, In search of rest, Like lightning, blinding and bright, For my agony is it’s zest.
Like a blade with ridged edges, Whose slightest touch can carve, With deceiving sides, so smooth and shiny, Infact for blood it starves.
Like a flame, intense and warm, It burns through my hopes, Like an omen, foretelling bad times, For disastrous calamities it gropes.
In times of dismay, when I’m all alone, The painful memories it hauls, In unspoken words, it says so much, One drop of tear that falls! MY URDU POETRY- im a poet at heart...WAQT Badaltey hoey waqt key saath badalna nahi aata mujhey, Aandhi ki tez hawaon key saath hilna nahi aata mujhey, Behtey hoey paani mei teirna nahi aata mujhey, Zamaney key teiz qadmon key saath chalna nahi aata mujhey, Phir kyun kehtey hain log , sameer , tum badal gaie ho? Gar sach to yeh hai key tham gaya hoon waqt mein....
PARI Jab subh ki pehli kirney aankon per parti hain mun mor leta hoon mei, Palkhon par aansoon sajaie, jeeney ka ek hi sahara, woh pari jo merey khwabon mei aaie, kahin gum na ho jaie... Tareek zindagi mei, ek hi to roshni hai... log kehtey hain, sameer, tumney to usko dekha bhi nahin, par woh kya jaanein meri pari seerat sey ruhani hai, uskey andazey guftugu sey masoomiat chalakti hai, uski baaton sey kabhi , jee nahi bharta hai... suraj ki pehli kirney aankhon par jab parti hain, ankhein wo band ker leti hai, chupkey sey merey paas khwabon mei aati hai, yeh pal na toot jaie, waqt yahin tham jaie, mun mor leta hoon mei, mun mor leta hoon mein... July 03 relaxed....When exams are going on all one can see, or rather I should say, what keeps one going on is the fact tht holidays are near... its gona be all over soon! but once they are over, its just tooo free esp since choueifat keeps us all sooo bz with stuff( if not studies then sulking abt school ;) ). Now its just late hrs online, sleeping after fajr then till 11 , 12 the rest of the day chilling out with frends(btw most ppl hav left alredy) or just tv...
cant wait to leave or im gona become a couch potato.... a new dayA new morning in abudhabi...more friends leaving- some we will never seeever, more telephone calls everyday , more farewell parties....its all sooo depressing..
nevertheless, we never know wat the future holds , an anticipation mixed with fear ,yet one can not even decide what to feel such plethoric conflicts of emotions within us!
June 29 GRAD SPEECHGood Evening, Your Highness, Distinguished guests,Ladies, & Gentlemen, It is said that every child with an imagination has great dreams, great aspirations. A strong belief that every notion that can be architected can be constructed, every goal you can set your eyes on can be achieved, every dream you can perceive can be realized. A child in his innocence knows not any barriers, any horizons, any limitations. He flies high and reaches for the stars. As the child grows into an adult, his awe struck eyes widen to face the realities of life; it dawns upon him that his dreams were mere illusions and unattainable. Yet there are a few who refuse to play within the spheres prescribed, who have faith only in optimism , who are ready to gamble everything they have to see their dreams come true- it is these people who attain success- it is these people who are the leaders. Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce you to the class of 2005- the leaders of the next generation! (clap clap )
Today when I stand here, I see a flash of memories come alive in front of my eyes. A play back of all the best moments, the moments when we laughed, the moments when we reveled ,a race of events , the hard work and the many hours behind them, the pride in their success, the anxiety before exams, the anticipation before results, the moments we shed tears, the shoulders there for comfort. How there was always someone just a turn away. Each moment worth reliving a thousand times more. We will never forget our friends who left memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Today as we stride, our teachers look at the fruits of their labor with pride. How they have patiently chiseled, toiled for many years and have finally moulded us intowhat we are today. Who have not only fought the never ending battle to show us the path to wisdom and excellence, but have always looked after us like their own children. I would like to thank all the teachers who have ever taught us- you will be our inspirations for years to come…
Who can love us more than our closes allies: our parents ? Who with their affection and caring concern fill all the crevices in our lives. Their continous support in our ventures and even in our misadventures. They share our panic in exam time and should rightly share our elation as we successfully enter a new phase of our lives. On behalf of my entire grade I would like to thank all our parents- your efforts have seriously been larger than life and no words can describe the emotions we feel for you tonight.
As we look forward to the future we must rise to the challenges of whatever lies in our way. The future is one of heightened risks and uncertainty, yet abound with opportunities and great rewards to be reaped. We must always believe in ourselves, we must always believe in our dreams , and passionately work to realize them- only then will we emerge triumphant. Class of 2005, I pray that the future holds success, fortune and prosperity for each and every one of you. Thank you
